William A. Draves

William A. Draves writes marketing copy on a weekly basis. He has studied under some of the great marketing authorities in the past five decades, including Philip Kotler, Paul Franklin, Anver Suleiman, Don Libey, Rene Gnam,  Martha Rogers, and others.
 
Draves has authored articles on marketing and a Marketing Manual (now in its Sixth Edition) since 1982.  He writes email promotions, website copy, brochures and other print marketing, and a blog and social media. Draves also designs marketing plans.
 
He teaches a marketing course for a Master’s Degree program offered by the University of South Dakota.

William A. Draves, CAE, has been working from home since 1998, when he figuratively blew up his organization’s national headquarters and sent employees home to work.  Currently his staff live and work in six states, from Rhode Island to Oregon.
 
Draves gained his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1989 from the American Society of Association Executives. 
 
He created a new system for supervising remote workers based on outcomes and results, which he and his staff have been using for over 20 years.
With John Allen, he created one of the first virtual offices in the country, where staff gather almost daily for both work and social interaction.  
 
He has consulted with organizations all over North America on working from home, communicating with remote workers, and managing and supervising dispersed employees.
